This week LETZTE INSTANZ celebrate right double. The 2-DVD "Weißgold" has entered the German Media Control music DVD charts ON #4 - for #1 and #3 is the comedian Mario Barth, who is strictly speaking no music act, LETZTE INSTANZ has released next to Genesis the second successful music DVD in Germany this week - congratulations!
And besides the DVD "Weißgold" has also entered the German Media Control album charts on respectable#64. "Weißgold" is LETZTE INSTANZ 10th anniversary celebration. Only within the last two years the band around singer Holly has been on stage for more than 150 times, so a DVD, dealing basically with the events on and behind the stage, had become a must.
This high quality release was produced in cooperation with Berlin's company ROAX. Next to a movie-like band portrait it contains the gig at 2007's Wacken Open Air and of course as main component the unplugged concert at Dresden's Lukaskirche (Lukas church) featuring guestmusicians from the bands Schandmaul and Subway To Sally.
The band celebrates this fine success only in short, for they have already started the work on their next longplayer. This still nameless album is planned for Spring 2009.

MISERY SPEAKS have amicably parted ways with singer Claus Ulka after a long and great time. The new man behind the microphone will be Przemek Golomb, who previously handled the vocal duties in Seventh Seal Broken. Przemek already did the shows @ With Full Force and Metalcamp Festivals with MISERY SPEAKS last weekend and had a great start with those two awesome mainstage shows.
The band comments:
"We are very, very sad about the fact that we had to part ways with Claus. But he wasn´t able to continue as the MISERY SPEAKS front man due to his lack of time because of his work. He is a founding member of this band and damn...we had lots of fun within the last years. We will always remember all the good and the bad times we had together with a big fuckin´ smile on our faces!! We hope he will stay true to his love, the music and will continue making music. Of course we wish him all the best for that and for his work in the future!!
We decided to take Przemek as our new singer because we are absolutely sure that he´s the perfect man for this job. We had the opportunity to watch him as a singer on stage lots of times and played some shows with him as a replacement singer as well. The fact that we get along with each other very well beside the stage too makes us more than sure that we made the right decision."

What may appear as an unbelievable marketing-gag, is definitely true. On June 06th, 2008 the XANDRIA album "Now & Forever - The Best Of" will be released, and right these days singer Lisa Middelhauve leaves the band surprisingly to go on her own way doing seperate things. The album once meant to be break and caesura, now seams to become some kind of legacy of the chapter with Lisa.
The band about the splitt:
"For personal reasons Lisa decided to leave the band after almost 8 years of successful work.
We thank Lisa for the good, successful and most of all the unforgettable time with her and wish her all the best for the future.
The musical journey of XANDRIA goes on as a matter of course - get prepared for a surprise.We still have a lot of intentions.
From now on we are looking for a new front mistress and we will be back soon with new songs and livedates.

At their own declaration the band breaks up in good and they are sad about Lisa's departure. "My exit has nothing to do with dispute or controversy within the band. It was just time to splitt. I hope, we still will be friends in future like we are right now", says Lisa Middelhauve.
For quite some time XANDRIA feels not like home for Lisa anymore and she wants to be no barricade for the band finding another singer committed to the band wholeheartedly. A step commiserated by everyone, but respcted to an extremely high degree aswell.
Once again there will be the chance for the fan to enjoy all highlights of the band, a few rarities, the Summerbreeze 2007 concert plus interviews and videoclips on DVD - and XANDRIA featuring Lisa on vocals. Now the 5 musicians are coming up with something even better: On May 02nd the second album "Beloved Enemy" will be releases and it outshines everything for now. Right now the singles "Beloved Enemy" and "Stay With Me" are #3 and #7 in the DAC (German Alternative Charts), the album made it to #3 at once. In the course of the Paganfest 2008 Tour regarding the show at SO36 in Berlin MOONSORROW have been accused to be a band on the right wing. These accusations are completely anchorless and rather provide the comptent audience with astonishment and irritation. But just because these accusations are so impossible and the band as well as all the people working with and for them are cosmopolitan and peaceable, a counterstatement is needed. This band comes from the band and their Finnish label Spinefarm, it is shared in all interests by Drakkar and it is especially in music business a matter of course to be strict against fascism and every kind of suppressing the freedom of expression, as MOONSORROW singer Ville Sorvali phrases.
OFFICAL MOONSORROW STATEMENT
Recently there have been claims about Moonsorrow being a fascistic orientated nazi band. We would hereby like to declare that Moonsorrow is not affiliated or fascinated with the nazi-movement in any way.
They are not political, they do not have connections to any political parties or societies, not in Finland nor elsewhere in the world.
As Ville Sorvali, the lead singer and lyric writer of the band says:
"We, Moonsorrow, have come across news that Antifa wishes to prevent our concert in Berlin on April 17th. We hereby announce that we are not a Nazi band, nor we have any political connections whatsoever. We are strictly against fascism and all restrictions against freedom of speech. We wish that Antifa would withdraw any actions they have taken against the concert and let it proceed normally."
Some have said that Moonsorrow have an SS-rune in their logo. The logo has been handdrawn many many years ago and it has not been renewed since. The S in the logo is not intended to look like an SS-rune, it has been drawn in an angular manner to suit the logos other letters.
We apologise if drawing one letter in such a way makes the logo look national socialistic - it is and has not been our or Moonsorrow's intention to sympathise with the Nazis by drawing the S in such a way. Changing the letters' appearance would make the whole logo look inconsistent and incomplete - hence we have not even considered changing it nor do we intend to, it has never occurred to us or to the members of Moonsorrow that there could be such a problem as this with the logo.
Some have said that the lyrics to the bands song "Blood of an apostate" are close to an old nazi song which is against jews. We have to say first that the members of Moonsorrow have not to this date heard of such a song, they are not familiar with any national socialistic songs or with German lore. Secondly we have to say that the lyrics come from a wholly different, easily recognisable FINNISH source. The lyrics to the bands song "Blood of an apostate" come from an old Finnish legend - the murder of the Bishop Henrik committed by the peasant Lalli. Moonsorrow have made several lyrics based on this tale. This legend is told in Finland already in pre-schools, it is a very common Finnish folk tale. There have been claims that Moonsorrow's music is somehow sympathetic to the Nazis. Moonsorrow's metal is certainly epic, but it has nothing to do with politics. It is purely epic metal made in Finland that tells of ancient Finnish tales - not about tales sympathised by the Nazis now or earlier.

XANDRIA meanwhile belong to the big acts of the gothic scene and now (on June 06th, 2008) they present a proper 'best of' album entitled "Now & Forever". Not only a few had branded the guys from Bielefeld at the beginnig of their career as a hype, and for sure no one had guessed that they would ever make it up to a 'best of' - but at least with their hit album "Ravenheart" and the 2005 release "India" (Media Control Charts #30) even the last one should realise, that XANDRIA can't be wished away from the scene.
Last year singer Lisa Middelhauve and her guys came together and included the expierence they made during a lot of shows in their studioalbum "Salomé - The Seventh Veil". Among others the quintet played in South Korea, Russia and Mexico, and of course several shows in Europe. Just this large number of fans they had 'won' within the last years outside of Germany have been a great motivation to finally compile all highlights on "Now & Forever - The Best Of Xandria".
To make this package quite tasty, the CD contains 20 tracks - all remastered. For that purpose a few rarities like the ballade "Lullaby" from the "India" phase or the songs "One Word" and "Drown In Me" (never been on an album), are on the tracklist. But that's not all: "Now & Forever - The Best Of Xandria" will be released in a high value double digipack with an embossing in silver and it contains a DVD with the complete XANDRIA show from 2007's Summerbreeze, all videoclips and a brandnew interview.
