If you are in the North of Finland soon (or perhaps you are looking for a reason to do that), you should make a little trip to Lapland, or more specific Rovaniemi, because there Mr. Lordi will open a theme restaurant on December 15th, 2006.

This "Rocktaurant" of course was designed in a LORDI compatible style and will accommodate for about 130 metal- & horrorfans (and all who dare). The induction will be celebrated with a pyro show and fireworks. A Santa Claus Rovaniemi's major are invited.

On September 22nd, 2006 we will release a special edition of LORDI's chartbreaker-album "The Arockalypse". The success at the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST had of course positive effects on LORDI's chart-positions:

In Austria "The Arockalypse" is 61 of the album charts and "Hard Rock Hallelujah" enters the single charts on 17.

In Switzerland the album is on 46 and the single enters on 11.

In their homebase Finland the album is on the pole position and the single is on 2, allthough it was released at the same time as the album.

On Europe's biggest musicmarket (Germany) the album climbs up from 50 to 13, while the single starts from 0 to 5 - this is the best Drakkar single position until now!!!

Congratulations to the band and thanx to you, the fans!

After Mr. Lordi had announced right after the final in Athens to meet again on Helsinki's old market square, this happened in deed last Friday. 80000 Fins and "travellers" pilgrimaged into the capital (the biggest crowd ever seen there!!!) to see the new Finnish national heroes. In doing so they provided the Guinnes-book with a new entry by singing together "Hard Rock Hallelujah" and breaking the worldrecord of mass-karaoke (until this day is was 50000). (Evidence 1 ;-)!)

At 21.00h LORDI hit the stage and presented 6 tracks during this "for free & outside"-event, of course incl. "Hard Rock Hallelujah"! While playing their set the Finnish President Tarja Halonen made an official appearance on stage to give the band bronze key flag award for exemplary Finnish work. (Evidence 2 ;-)!)

Now the Grand Prix winner have arrived home and wait for the things to come, e.g. if the band realy will have dinner in the President's residence on Finnish Independence Day - unmasked!

LORDI have dropped down a bit with their current album "The Arockalypse" in the German Media Control Charts: 50! But you have to keep in mind this position includes no sales AFTER the final of the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST - so regarding the known trends we may expect a better position for next week again... ;-)

Fantastic! Monster Rock conquers Europe! If someone had told you this a year ago, you would have called him "insane". LORDI are this years winner of the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST in Athens. The European Heavy Metal community has voted more than sovereign LORDI's "Hard Rock Hallelujah" for number one! So the E.S.C. 2007 will take place in Finland. LORDI won with 292 points clearly before Dima Bilan from Russia with 248 points and Hari Mata Hari from Bosnien-Herzegowina with 229 points on position three. Texas Lightning from Germany reached position 15 with 36 points.

LORDI is the first pure heavy metal band winning the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST. The hymn "Hard Rock Hallelujah" moved the rock- and metal-fans numerously to the telephones throughout Europe. In a lot of pubs and clubs they were celebrating "I vote for LORDI"-parties. 8 times they said: Finland 12 points, inter alia from Poland, Greece and the United Kingdom - from Germany it was "only" 10, because the 12 pts went traditionally to Turkey.

Because of LORDI the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST will never be the same again. The Finnish monsterband made it's threat come true: "Bringing Back The Balls To Eurovision" has been the slogan of their campaign and most impressive they succeeded. With a performance supported bei fire and bombast the band rocked in front of more than 10.000 people in the Olympic Arena of Athens, more than 100 million people saw "Hard Rock Hallelujah" on the screen.

LORDI in deed climbed up the Olymp! :)

Last week LORDI re-entered the German Media Control Charts after more than 2 months since release. This week they climbed up, so now "The Arockalypse" is on the best position since release: 45!!!

About one month ago we asked you with which song LORDI will kick ass at the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST, and we received a lot of emails. Among the correct answers ("Hard Rock Hallelujah") we had to give away (among others) "Bringing Back The Balls To Eurovision"-Shirts, which are goint to:

HALLELUJAH! Hard Rock expulsion of the finest! As a matter of fact the church raises against the "evil" monsters of LORDI. Last Monday the biggest Finnish newspaper "Iltalethi" headlined:

CHURCH PROTESTS AGAINST LORDI'S PARTICIPATION IN THE EUROSVISION SONGCONTEST! ARCHBISHOP:"THAT'S BLASPHEMY AND SHOULD BE PREVENTED BY ANY MEANS! A SHAME FOR THE WHOLE COUNTRY!"

And if this all was not impressing enough, now Cyprus is threatening to not broadcast the event on TV if LORDI will perform at the Grand Prix - what a pity, that this would lead to Cyprus' disqualification :)

Regardless of all this the metal scene in Germany mobilises, like it has not for a long time, to condignly party the fact finaly having LORDI as a worthy representative at the Eurovision Song Contest. Everywhere across the country they are organising phat Lordi-Grand-Prix-parties! The metal zombies from Finland will fight for their entering the finale on May 18th and they will monstrous kick some ass. "I VOTE for LORDI"-election-evenings (incl.screening of the E.S.C., Lordi`s horrormovie "The Kin" & the excelent videoclips of the band, plus competitions and of course a correct DJ-set) will take place in a lot of clubs (we will tell you later where exactly).

In Finland LORDI have climbed up with their new album "The Arockalypse" and are now #3 of the charts in the fourth week after release.

Well, the 18th of May 2006 will be for sure a momentous day in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest, when monsters will reach the finale with your support and votes.

Rigth now events are planned to proof LORDI makes Athens, no, whole Europe sing "Hard Rock Hallelujah" on May 20th. So keep your ears and eyes wide open...

This week LORDI occupy #94 of Germany's Media Control Charts!

At home "The Arockalypse" is still #4 of the official Finland Charts!

After their great success of winning the pre-elimination for the Eurovision Song Contest in Finland LORDI's new album "The Arockalypse" has climbed up in the official Finland Charts = #4!

In this week the German Media Control Charts report the album on #83!

The wellknown Eurovision Song Contest, mostly named just "Grand Prix", had to agonise a lot of things in the past. "Wadde hadde dudde da?" by Stefan Raab confused the friends of chanson in Europe, Guildo Horn disenchant the glamourwolrd of chansons and t.A.T.u provoked with their lesboshow in a way some people blushed.

And now this! Finland lets loose the Metal Monster on Europe! As first pure Heavy-Metal-band monstrous rockers of LORDI are already now part of the Grand-Prix-history and going to be a real shocker with their "Hard Rock Hallelujah" in Athens. What ever the Finnish people may have had in mind, they voted LORDI for winner with a fulminant projection in the Finnish pre-elimination and brought deep desperation to the friends of pop anc chansons. Right one day after the pre-elimination a lot of fan forums of the Eurovison Song Contest got filled will posts of disgust. No sympathy for a band in complex horrorcostums, looking at itself in the tradition of Heavy-Metal-heroes such as Alice Cooper, Kiss and Accept! So here are a few examples:

• "The song inherently is not thaaat bad - but if I have to watch the guys, to be honest, I'm getting frightened!"
• "Horrible, such a thing at the Eurovision Song Contest!"
• "I find that repulsive!"
• "Musically and optically just horrible and a provocation."
