What may appear as an unbelievable marketing-gag, is definitely true. On June 06th, 2008 the XANDRIA album "Now & Forever - The Best Of" will be released, and right these days singer Lisa Middelhauve leaves the band surprisingly to go on her own way doing seperate things. The album once meant to be break and caesura, now seams to become some kind of legacy of the chapter with Lisa.

The band about the splitt:

"For personal reasons Lisa decided to leave the band after almost 8 years of successful work.

We thank Lisa for the good, successful and most of all the unforgettable time with her and wish her all the best for the future.

The musical journey of XANDRIA goes on as a matter of course - get prepared for a surprise.We still have a lot of intentions.

From now on we are looking for a new front mistress and we will be back soon with new songs and livedates.

At their own declaration the band breaks up in good and they are sad about Lisa's departure. "My exit has nothing to do with dispute or controversy within the band. It was just time to splitt. I hope, we still will be friends in future like we are right now", says Lisa Middelhauve.

For quite some time XANDRIA feels not like home for Lisa anymore and she wants to be no barricade for the band finding another singer committed to the band wholeheartedly. A step commiserated by everyone, but respcted to an extremely high degree aswell.

Once again there will be the chance for the fan to enjoy all highlights of the band, a few rarities, the Summerbreeze 2007 concert plus interviews and videoclips on DVD - and XANDRIA featuring Lisa on vocals. After "Now & Forever - The Best Of" a lot of things will be new and some will be different, but it will go on: without Lisa, but with XANDRIA!

In the discography-area you will now find the tracklist for the CD The Best Of XANDRIA "Now & Forever", but we still have to add the tracklist of the bonus-DVD, what we will do within the next days...

XANDRIA meanwhile belong to the big acts of the gothic scene and now (on June 06th, 2008) they present a proper 'best of' album entitled "Now & Forever". Not only a few had branded the guys from Bielefeld at the beginnig of their career as a hype, and for sure no one had guessed that they would ever make it up to a 'best of' - but at least with their hit album "Ravenheart" and the 2005 release "India" (Media Control Charts #30) even the last one should realise, that XANDRIA can't be wished away from the scene.

Last year singer Lisa Middelhauve and her guys came together and included the expierence they made during a lot of shows in their studioalbum "Salomé - The Seventh Veil". Among others the quintet played in South Korea, Russia and Mexico, and of course several shows in Europe. Just this large number of fans they had 'won' within the last years outside of Germany have been a great motivation to finally compile all highlights on "Now & Forever - The Best Of Xandria".

To make this package quite tasty, the CD contains 20 tracks - all remastered. For that purpose a few rarities like the ballade "Lullaby" from the "India" phase or the songs "One Word" and "Drown In Me" (never been on an album), are on the tracklist. But that's not all: "Now & Forever - The Best Of Xandria" will be released in a high value double digipack with an embossing in silver and it contains a DVD with the complete XANDRIA show from 2007's Summerbreeze, all videoclips and a brandnew interview. So this item might be interesting even for those of you, who have collected almost everything from XANDRIA.
