Hawk Eyes - band

Hailing from Leeds, UK and formed in 2005, HAWK EYES consist of Paul Astick (vocals / guitar), Rob Stephens (guitar), Ryan Clark (bass) and John MacKenzie (drums).

“If they aren’t on your radar yet, your radar is rubbish.” So said Kerrang! magazine in a KKKKK review of HAWK EYES.

Due to its age, the radar at Drakkar Records wasn’t able to receive the signals from Leeds, UK. If it was they would have signed them much earlier. Fortunately, it was one of the parts which was upgraded during a long and complex restructuring process Drakkar Entertainment went through in 2015. As a result, HAWK EYES became the very first signing since the label moved it’s operation to Hamburg. All at Drakkar were a frenzy with excitement, so much so that they sped up the whole deal to welcome HAWK EYES on board asap!

With the radar signals now well and truly fixed, HAWK EYES latest album Everything Is Fine will be released on June, 24th 2016.

Hawk Eyes - Everything Is Fine

Writing for the album Everything Is Fine began back in 2013, with outpours of creativity between tours and shows. Having supported the likes of System Of A Down at arena shows in 2014 and playing the biggest music festivals across Europe, as well as events such as SXSW over in the States, HAWK EYES are poised to take over the world of heavy music. Producer Andy Hawkins took the reins throughout the recording process with additional engineering from the band’s very own Ryan Clark and their live sound engineer, Giles Stocks.

A crowdfunding campaign brought Everything Is Fine to life, with a release in the UK, followed by critical acclaim from magazines such as Kerrang!, Rock Sound and Metal Hammer; radio stations such as BBC Radio1, XFM, Team Rock Radio & Planet Rock Radio. Stand-out highlights from the past year have been support shows for Foo Fighters, Metallica, Slash alongside several festivals across Europe.

And now with an official worldwide release behind them, it is certain that HAWK EYES will continue to traverse the globe bringing their monstrous riffs, immense energy and unique brand of rock music to the masses.
